About Us

A decorated dining area with guests enjoying a meal.

At 20 Franklin Street in Tenafly, Lodge 2271 has earned a 4.8-star reputation the old-fashioned way: by actually showing up. Members gather here for everything from solemn memorial services to lively social nights around the outdoor fire pit, and the hall handles both with equal grace. Guests consistently note how clean and well-maintained the space is, with spacious restrooms and ample parking that make every event run smoothly.

The BPOE Lodge 2271 is more than a meeting room. It is a place where neighbors become brothers and sisters, where community fundraising gets done, and where the American values of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity are practiced rather than just recited. When a member is lost, the hall becomes a space for dignified remembrance. When there is cause to celebrate, the fire pit gets lit and the parking lot fills up.

What We Offer

Lodge 2271 hosts a full calendar of events and services for members and the broader Tenafly community. Private event rentals make the hall a sought-after venue for memorials, celebrations, and organizational meetings, with a spacious layout and outdoor fire pit area that guests have praised repeatedly.

Membership opens the door to BPOE national programs, local scholarship opportunities, youth initiatives, and veterans support efforts. The lodge coordinates charitable giving throughout Bergen County, organizes social gatherings that bring members together regularly, and maintains a welcoming, well-kept facility that reflects the organization's commitment to doing things right.

"Was there for a memorial for a friend who had died, so it was a little sad. The hall was really nice though. There was a fire pit for those who wanted to hang outside. Plenty of parking. The restrooms were nice and clean. Nothing to complain about at all!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
